If you can believe it, I’m almost done with BBG 1.0! I first mentioned I was going to start BBG again in this fitness update I shared in March. It’s the first time I’ve done BBG since this time last year, and I’m so glad to be doing it again. It really is so effective, way more so than anything else I’ve tried over the last year. Instead of going straight into BBG 2.0, I’m tempted to do BBG 1.0 one more time through to work on my speed and use heavier weights this time. That way when I get to BBG 2.0, I’ll feel really ready to progress to the next level! I’ve still got some pandemic weight I want to lose, but I’m feeling very happy about the progress I’ve made so far! My clothes are starting to fit better and I feel more confident in my body, especially now that I’m toning up again.
With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to treat myself to some new workout gear. Bloomindale’s has such an amazing selection of activewear, so it was a no brainer to start there! This shoulder pad tank by P.E. Nation caught my eye immediately. The tank is super soft and breathable, while the shoulder pad detail adds a trendy touch – functional and fashionable! Such a fun, solid staple I can wear with all kinds of bottoms. I’m also loving the shiny black set I picked up, including these Endurance leggings and this matching sports bra – super supportive, flattering and stylish! I went with a medium in both the tank + sports bra, and a large in the leggings. The fit is perfect!
In addition to some new workout clothes, I was eager to invest in a new pair of solid sneakers that would work for both BBG and running! I’ve heard amazing things about this pair by Adidas, so I gave them a try. I LOVE how wide they are in the toe box! I tend to get blisters in between my toes when I run, but the extra space helps a lot. Highly recommend if you have wider feet! Plus, I love the sleek all-black look.
