Last week I experienced a level of ADD I haven’t seen in myself for years… and I say that as someone who was diagnosed and medicated for it for decades. No matter what I did on Friday, I could not keep myself focused on *any* task! It was actually giving me a lot of anxiety. Not the best way to start the weekend! I truly think I was getting burned out and that was my body’s way of telling me to take a break. So that’s just what I did this weekend! Sometimes you just need a good TV binge to rest and recharge. On a related note: I highly recommend Mare of Easttown on HBO MAX if you’re looking for a new show! It’s a crime drama that I’m obsessed with at the moment.
The yard guys made big progress on Saturday too, which was very exciting to watch! They finished grouting the covered porch tile, added the soil where plants/trees will be installed, and brought in the turf. They still have to cut and fit some of the turf, including adding the trim/strips between the concrete slabs, but it looks so good! Reeses and I can finally go back there now, which is awesome – she was using the front yard to go potty for the past 11 weeks, and it was getting very old. She loves the turf, and it’s going to be so nice to have a clean, open space for her to run around when we go/play outside! It’s supposed to rain all week, but I’m hoping they can finish up back there soon! Just in time for summer entertaining.
