Once the holidays are over, the temps really start to drop around these parts! While it’s certainly easy to reach for black basics for gloomy winter days, I love to pull out softer neutrals this time of year. Not only does it brighten my mood (seasonal affective disorder is REAL!), but it gets me excited for the season ahead. Wearing softer shades like winter white, beige, blush, and pale blue is a fun way to mix it up from your usual dark winter neutrals! I’ve scored some amazing soft neutral styles on sale recently, so I thought I’d share a mash-up of them in today’s post.
First up is this drape-neck sweater I found on major sale at NET-A-PORTER! It’s sold out there, but I found it still in stock here, here and here. It’s such a chic, elegant piece, don’t you think? I actually wore it out a couple weekends ago with black jeans and boots, but I also love how it looks styled with crisp white jeans and matching beige boots for a softer look. Such gorgeous transitional look for winter-to-spring wear! Even on sale this piece was pretty pricey, but it’s so unique and still totally timeless.
The second piece is this winter white coat, also a sale score from NET-A-PORTER’s End of Season Sale! More sizes are available here and here. It’s such a classic style in beautiful creamy hue. It definitely has more of an oversized fit! I’m in the medium here and it’s still pretty big. I probably could’ve gotten the small, but I actually like the oversized look of it. I love a monochromatic winter white look, so I’ll probably continue styling it with other ivory pieces in my wardrobe!
Last but not least is this coat I snagged at the Theory Outlet. I was actually surprised to have found it online, considering I found it at the outlet in Carlsbad last summer! This heathered beige color is such an attractive, wearable neutral – much like my favorite trench coats. This is a great option for me when I want that trench coat sophistication and versatility, but with a warmer, thicker fabric!
