BLACK AND TAN

05.27

While I haven’t been out and about much even with restrictions lifting in Texas, I’m still making an effort to get ready. Partly because Liza is coming to my house most days of the week, and also because I walk Reeses so much and don’t want to look like a slob every time I leave my house! While I’m certainly not walking her in wedges like these, it’s starting to get a little too toasty out for walking her in jeans like I was doing. I’ve been relying on flowy, comfortably dresses like this and either flat sandals or sneakers this last week. I still feel put together for those multiple daily outings, but am comfy enough for sitting at my desk all day.

I actually have a nearly identical version of this dress from last year in this floral print and solid white. I wore them both SO much all season, so when I saw this new black solid style for 2020 I had to give it a go. What I love most about it is I know it’ll be such a great transitional piece to wear from summer into fall here in Texas. It stays hot here until mid to late October, so I know I’ll have plenty of opportunities to wear it when the summer season ends. The color and slightly longer sleeves lend itself more to a fall palette than the white ones do! As I did with both white dresses, I had the thigh-high slit sewn up for a slightly more modest cut.

If you’re loving this black and tan palette like I am, don’t miss these additional finds below! For more budget-friendly styles, don’t miss this post and this one too on @TSSedited!
